Thorne Associates completed a comprehensive interior and exterior scope on the Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Tower in Milwaukee, the company’s flagship headquarters and one of the most significant commercial construction projects the city has seen in recent years. Our work included exterior cold metal framing, exterior sheathing, air barrier installation, interior framing, drywall, taping, acoustical plaster, and prefabrication. The scale and finish quality required across this Class A headquarters demanded a team that could perform at the highest level across multiple systems simultaneously.
Executing a project of this scale in Milwaukee rather than Chicago meant navigating a different labor market and a different set of conditions than our crews encounter on most Midwest jobs.
